Phill Small : Eden and her surrounds

21 April 21 - 16 July  2021

‘An image can only be captured once, it’s unique, a one-off, a totally individual moment in time. It’s an intimate relationship between the subject, the camera and the artist’     (Phill Small 2015)

Phill Small has worked with cameras since he was 13. Learning his craft on film,  he was drawn to the art of capturing nature that was all around him on the northern beaches of Sydney and up in the rich and ancient landscapes of the surrounding national parks.

In 2006 he discovered the Sapphire Coast, and not long after made it his home, settling in Eden. Phill has been learning his craft for 33 years and has turned his love of photography into his profession. His practice centres on the magnificent coastlines of Eden, Merimbula and Pambula.

He always has a camera with him.
