This August, SECCA welcomes Tasmanian painter Harrison Bowe as our 2023 artist in residence.

Join Harrison as he leads a class in the stunning setting of Mimosa Rocks National Park near Tanja on the NSW Far South Coast.

Harrison Bowe is an emerging artist based in Hobart, Tasmania. He completed his Bachelor of fine art at the University of Tasmania in 2020. Harrison conducts a diverse practice encompassing painting, photography and performance. He is a highly physical and tactile person, this motivates and heavily influences his practice.

Harrison will lead a tour through the Myer House property focusing on the landscape and then conduct an en plain air class.

Includes a stunning lunch by Bithry Inlet.

BYO painting materials (which will depend on what you are most comfortable with), and may include paints, pastels, inks, brushes, pens, water jars, apron, easel, paper, canvases, backing boards etc.

The Masterclass venue is beside the beautiful Myer House on Bithry Inlet, in the pristine Mimosa Rocks National Park. One of several heritage listed, architecturally significant properties, gifted by the Myer and Yencken family to the National Parks and Wildlife Service. The NPWS are keen to open access to the properties for significant events that contribute to the living culture and community of the region.
