BVRG Kids Summer Program
BVRG presents a weekly art workshop during January to keep creative minds busy over the summer!
Workshops will run each Wednesday in January 2019.
Developed between gallery staff and professional educators, the program will relate to the current exhibition South East Interference Vol. 2.
Our school holiday workshops are a fun, easy way for children to engage with new materials or processes and achieve a high-quality outcome. All materials are provided and participants will be able to take home a unique artwork!
WORKSHOP ONE
Wear your Art! Paint your own T-Shirt
Kids love to draw, paint & splash colours!
Now they can draw AND wear their own creations. There is nothing better than creating and flaunting your artistic piece.
- Kids will learn how to draw on cotton t- shirts with their imagination running wild
- Kids will draw their favorite drawing on the T-Shirt
- Kids will learn how to use kids-friendly acrylic colors
- And then they will wear it and flaunt it!!
Suitable for kids above 5 years of age.
BYO T Shirt, all fabric paint and other materials supplied.

WORKSHOP TWO
Twirling Twigs Mobile Making Workshop
Kids will create a gorgeous mobile from yarn wrapped twigs
Suitable for kids above 5 years of age.
All materials supplied.

WORKSHOP THREE
Kids Macrame Workshop
Suitable for ages 7 and up
This workshop is a great opportunity to make something really beautiful whilst having fun and learning a new skill.
In this workshop, your child can make two macramé key rings using colorful yarn, ribbons and beads, or the more ambitious can try their hand at a wall hanging.
The kids will learn how to set up their project and the basic knots of macramé.
All materials will be provided.
